Well…..I’ve been in LA for about a week. My friend and cohort Bonnie Mcfarlane - who lives in New Jersey with her husband of @ 4 months, Rich Voss - has an LA apartment. We have come up with a an agreement where we share the rent (very low, I might add) and thus we both have an LA apartment. It’s good for me since I have various appointments - doctor, dentist, career planning, future stand up sets, escape from cabin fever etc. So, we have been cleaning and decorating it all week. We keep reassuring ourselves that we in fact deserve to have new towels and coffee table,

“Look, we don’t have to sleep on the floor. We deserve nice things from Target, right? We’re allowed, right”

It’s been fun, fast and furious. I’ll quickly sum up my LA adventures.

Dumpster in rear of apartment - 11 (calls from landlord, complaing of overflowing dumpster - 2)

Okay….so there’s a wee LA catch up. My online moments have been few a far between. The signal strength is ‘very low’ on Bonnie’s laptop - I’m not really sure what the means - so getting online proves to be very temperamental. I must go visit the dumpster again….and the post office….later.

Next Week - Snow Board Lessons. I can’t stand the fact that Mitch doesn’t know how much I love ‘Beauty and the Geek’. Plus, how can I watch the new season of The Soprano’s without him?

Hey thanks for the sweetest of the sweet concern for my cold. It’s now a mere low, gutteral sounding cough. I’ve always had the most frightening, somewhat haunting sounding cough from when I was a kid. In high school me and my best friend Sarah Smith met and became friends - in the beginning - mostly beacause we could ‘honk cough’ really loud on request. I wish I could find her and let her know that I can still sound like a seal anytime anyplace, but searching the name Sarah Smith ,
is, I have discovered, somewhat difficult.
I was on a plane at the stroke of Twelve (never used such a term before) and told the lady sitting next to me that she could kiss me if she wanted. She just nervously laughed the offer away. I’ll be at my home soon and near a real computer. Right now I’m useing a weird hotel key board that is attached to the TV and maneuvring the curser is harder than queitly - yet stylishly - blowing your nose into a overused shirt sleeve - I mean kleenex……I spent a day or two at Uncle Stanhope’s and peed my pants too many times from coughing so hard and laughing too hard. I’m not avoiding my Spin spin….I’ll write about it all when I get to my ‘office’….home. I hope everyboady is excited about a swell New Year. The sweet strangers, now friends I hope, that have read a few of my thoughts this year ….I thank you. Every comment or email that you’ve taken the time to write - fucking amazes me. You have no idea what you’ve done fer me…….

okay - this keyboard is very difficult to deal with, but I can handle it….
If my grammer is worse that usual it’s ‘cos the TV screen that I’m using is barely readable.
